Review of "Ancestor of all animals identified in Australian fossils" ScienceDaily

Being an anthropology student, I came across this interesting post in ScienceDaily. It is good to know that the geologists have found first ancestor of our family tree. It is surprising to note that majority of animals are present today. Fortunately human beings are a part of this project. There is a wormlike creature named Ikaria wariootia, and the researchers have found that it is the first bilaterian. A bilaterian is an organism having symmetrical back and front. The researchers have found openings on both end linked by the gut. In anthropology, I have found different periods in the geological time scale and the deposits of Ediacaran Period are quite interesting. The evidence found in Australia is quite interesting. The archeological method of digging is truly amazing. I really like the news post. The organism has been found to be 2-7 millimeters in length. It has been found to be size of rice grain.
